This
is an impressive large book, meticulously & extensively researched,
and very well written with countless astute observations. In many respects
the book is like a far more detailed version of The Gods of Eden by William
Bramley, the basic theme being that humanity has been controlled behind
the scenes by various secret societies since the beginning of civilisation,
and these secret societies are in turn secretly controlled by non-benevolent
aliens, who use humans as a resource, just as we use farm animals. This
is why history is replete with conflict and strife, as war is not only a
highly profitable business but also serves the purpose of divide and rule.
Marrs covers a lot of ground in great detail, and brings dozens of different
strands of history together and explains them clearly, so that many previously
puzzling scenarios become obvious. Marrs pertinently points out that in
the last few decades a huge amount of fresh historical information has come
to light (like the deciphered Sumerian records and the Dead Sea Scrolls)
which contradicts traditional historical and religious dogma, but the establishment
resolutely ignores or disparages this evidence. This is a good example of
the pyramidal structure of the secret elite in action: those at the top
don`t want the secrets to be revealed, and those at the bottom, e.g. your
ordinary vicar or history teacher, don`t want people to realise they`ve
been preaching nonsense for years, so they zealously defend their dogmas
(and their jobs), unwittingly doing the groundwork for the ruling elite.
Anyone who scoffs at "conspiracy theories" should read this book,
as it provides abundant undeniable evidence of a very well planned and very
long-term conspiracy. (The term "conspiracy theory" is in itself
subtle media "spin"/brainwashing, in that it implies mere paranoid
conjecture).
