Health and Fitness

Your Body`s Many Cries For Water by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj

"A brilliant book explaining how a large proportion of long-term "diseases" are in fact due to dehydration, ie lack of water. The author has treated thousands of patients successfully with just water, and explains in great detail the countless tasks that water performs in the body. Tea & coffee & juices etc etc do not count as water; in order to remain healthy we should drink 2 litres of pure water per day. In one section amusingly entitled "A salt-free diet is utterly stupid", Batmanghelidj points out that salt is vital for efficient bodily function, and that the actual problem is lack of water to transport the salt (and natural sea salt should be used, not cheap industrial/supermarket salt).
The author is highly critical of the pharmeceutical-medical industry, which merely treats disease symptoms and not the root causes.
